Toggle PvE/PvP
Not sure if this idea as been posted on here.
But it is so fustrating to be standing in the guild hall forming up a party or even just looking at your skills deciding on what to create as a build when all you get is the PvP version of the skill. Why can't Anet create a toggle button so that when I want to look at the description for PvE skills I can and should I ever decide to do PvP i can toggle back. To have to go to an outpost just to see what the skill does is annoying especially when I've set map travel to the location that we are going to end up at. Of if people are pinging builds to get help and input.

As a lot of groups form up in guild halls and it's hard to compare builds while setting up, it's a pain in the butt. I understand that this wasn't conceived as an issue when the UI was made as back then no skills were split for PvP/PvE, but times have changed and this feature would make things really easy, especially when sharing builds with guildies in your GH.

Yeah, I'm in the same guild as them, so what!? I agree, and would have agreed regardless! It is frustrating, not everyone knows the PvE versions of skills! A simple "Toggle PvE/PvP versions of skills" in the F11 menu would be rather lovely .

This idea has been suggested time and again since the removal of heroes from PvP. Doesn't look like it will ever actually be implemented (probably too far down on the "to do" list) but I'll go ahead and /sign (again) anyway. Good hunting.

/notsigned. I don't really see the point of this. Is it that hard to just go somewhere else? If the implementation was simple then I wouldn't mind, but is zoning to another place really such a big deal? With SC's, surely you know what builds you're supposed to be running beforehand and should just meet in the starting outpost?

Its fustrating when you have map travel set; you are meeting in the guild hall because its more convienant then having to only take 4 people at a time because the traveling outpost allow for only 4 or 6 since LA and kamadan are the most used outposts. I don't do speedclears yet find it fustrating when if I need a skill unlocked I go to the guildhall to unlock it everything in the guild hall is more easily accessed then having to go to a town. At that point I decide to play around with skills. Why should it be only easy for pvpers? That to me makes no sense.
As far as omg here it comes me defending sc'ers those guilds who create the speedclears or try to tweak the existing ones should have to go to an outpost either. Again why make it easy just for the pvpers?

I'm guessing that Embark Beach will be a suitable work around to this particular problem anyway. After that, the need to meet in a Guild Hall will be significantly reduced.
A better idea (and perhaps easier to implement for Anet) would have been a third game mode: PvP. One complaint agains the PvE-PvP skill split is that PvP teams now have a much harder time testing builds due to the fact that almost everywhere they go uses PvE skill versions. If there were three game modes (NM, HM and PvP) then instanced zones could load with PvP skill usage and restrictions. This could also provide an additional challenge for players who dislike the powercreep caused by PvE-only skills. Might be fun to play around with it for a while, but I still wouldn't expect to see this happen in GW1.

This idea already exists, specifically for guilds here, and in general here.
